Our 2025 grants program includes two grant categories:
- Tree Maintenance & Removal Grants, administered by the VT Urban & Community Forestry Program
- Community Tree Planting Grants, administered by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission in collaboration with the VT Urban & Community Forestry Program
Both grant categories are now open and accepting applications. The two grant categories have the same application deadline of January 10th, 2025 and neither have a cost-share requirement. However, the categories have different award amounts, geographic eligibility criteria, and are administered and supported by different entities.
See below for specific information and webpages for the two grant categories and visit our 2025 VT UCF Grants Eligibility Map to explore project eligibility based on specific location or to see statewide eligibility for each grant category.
Program staff from VT UCF and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission will host one more office hours webinar to share information about the grant categories and to answer questions about project types, application development, and submission process.
- Tuesday, December 10th, 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Join Microsoft Teams Meeting; Meeting ID: 281 998 149 612, Passcode: jTvmxY
